What is unusual about this one is its location - below ground level on a corner of the building housing the Northbrook Clinic, Northbrook Road in Dublin. On older maps the building is called 'The Old Men's Asylum'. Benchmarker and M.C. will have to look for alternative lodgings.

A 'brickie' is how Benchmarker refers to any 'mark chiselled into brickwork, and this particular brickie is located on Dartmouth Square East in Dublin. It was that first time for Benchmarker to visit that Square which so nearly became a carpark. There is no doubt that whatever else, benchmark hunting gets one out of the house.

This one is on the corner pillar at Wellington Lane with Waterloo Road in Dublin 4.

Benchmarker and M.C. combined forces one fine evening recently and scoured parts of the Dublin 4 and 6 nexus with good success. The first one encountered is on the windowsill of a building at the Royal Hospital for Incurables near Bloomfield Avenue.

This one is at the front entrance to Trinity College in Dublin. Benchmarker had an acquaintance once who earned a scholarship to UCD. It was just too bad that it wasn't to Trinity because it all ended rather badly for him; being dyslexic he instead brought himself to DCU and apparently disappeared for ever in the badlands of the North Side, where most of the graduates are from what is euphemistically called 'the University of Life'.
