This one from Michael Byrne is on the north side of Glenageary Road Upper, in Dublin, just a little south east of the junction with Cluain Mhuire.

This one from Michael Byrne is on the corner of a building in ruins, on the Kilruddery Demesne to the south of Bray in County Wicklow.

Another one from the camera of Michael Byrne and it too was spotted while on a ramble on the Cliff Walk from Bray. It's located about 20 minutes into the walk so perhaps that would make it about a mile south of the start of the walk; or for our continental visitors, about 1.5 kilometres.

With its russet and amber tones and the sparkling azure sea below, it could be a view of Amalfi; or even Fuenteventura or maybe Zakinthos; or perhaps Torrevieja. (No - on second thoughts - perhaps not Torreieja.) Where it actually is, is Bray. Yes, Bray. And it was there on the Cliff Walk that heads out of the town and goes south to Greystones, that Michael Byrne spotted this fine one while on a ramble.

This one in the Phoenix Park in Dublin is to the east side of the Kyber Road near the junction with the Military Road. There is an indication that it has been moved there from another location as it appears to have been plastered over at some stage, although only the central leg now indicates this. Alternatively, it may in fact be the 'mark shown close to this location on the 6” maps.

On his extensive trawl of the area centred around Adelaide Road in Dublin, about two or three years ago, M.C. failed to spot this one; and so it fell to Benchmarker once again to come along and mop-up after him. It's on the old railway terminal building, now some sort of cafe, on the east side of Harcourt Street near the junction with Adelaide Road.

NUMBER 792

BENCHMARKS continued

On the eve of Christmas Eve, Benchmarker encountered this one. It's in County Tyrone on the Old Bridge Road on the old bridge that spans the Derg River just before it merges with the Strule to become the Mourne; further downstream the Mourne and the Finn will merge to become the mighty Foyle.
