NUMBER 917

BENCHMARKS continued

This one in Edinburgh, Scotland, from Michael Byrne is on The Hub (cafe and Festival centre) which was formerly known by various names, such as Tolbooth Church, The Assembly Hall and St John's Church. It's located on the Royal Mile quite close to Edinburgh Castle.

Below: A 'mark on The Hub, Edinburgh.

Above: Looking west with the 'mark at bottom right. The 'mark is difficult to see in the location photo, as it has blackened with age. This is not helped by the line of potted bushes placed in front of it, but the 'mark is on the facing flat stone, down on the right of those bushes.
