NUMBER 655
BENCHMARKS
continued
This
one from Tullamore is on O'Connor Square, on a building that was
previously a bank but, like many main street buildings these fateful
days, is now for rent.

BENCHMARKS
continued
For
a place that is well off the beaten tracks to the west and the south,
Tullamore has been visited many times by Benchmarker, most usually on
the occasion of an athletics event. The most recent visit was no
different except that time was taken to scour the streets and
laneways in a 'mark hunt. Before schedule constraints intervened a
grand total of four was the result, but the map indicates future
potential. A pleasant break was partook of in the BK2 cafe on
Colmcille Street where the friendliness of the staff was most
refreshing. Benchmarker will return.
