The intention with this website is to locate at least 1,001 benchmark sites, or die in the attempt (no flowers please, house private). Photos of any benchmark sites found will be posted at intervals over the coming days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries ... NUMBER 277


BENCHMARKS continued

On the other side of Northumberland Road to the previous two from M.C. is this one he spotted on Number 25. A plaque on the house wall testifies to military action there in 1916.
