NUMBER 345

BENCHMARKS continued

The 'mark on this beautiful old church - Saint Mary's, Leixlip, County Kildare - was supplied by M.C. It's one of those that has had a stud hammered into it at the apex.

NUMBER 334

BENCHMARKS continued

M.C. found this one on Pound Street, Leixlip, County Kildare. If it looks familiar, maybe it's because it looks like the one M.C. found in Maynooth.

BENCHMARKS continued

Shed a silent tear for this one from M.C. on a pillar outside the Parochial House in Maynooth in County Kildare, because it is almost smothered in the tarmacadam that was used to surface the pavement.

They say that Nass is a terrible place
and Athy is just as bad.
But the worst town I've ever been in
is bleep you Kinnegad!”

Naas was far from terrible for Benchmarker as two 'marks were spotted during a short stroll along the main street. One is on the front of the Courthouse and the other is opposite and a short distance along on the front of the Bank of Ireland building.

Below: The 'mark on Naas Courthouse.
