BENCHMARKS

Night
comes down and finds you alone
In a space and time of your own
Lost in dreams in a world full of shadows.
Down the street the neon light shines
Offering refuge and hope to the blind .......

With
the mop-up in Killiney concluded, back in the city M.C. and
Benchmarker stopped off on Ranelagh Road to record this one. It's on
the west side, a little way south of the railway bridge.

This
one is on Station Road in Killiney, County Dublin, a short way north
of the eponymous railway station, and at the entrance to the steps
that lead down to the beach.

Looking south on Station Road with the 'mark at bottom left and the railway station building in
the distance. It contains a rather good cafe where M.C. had some tea
with bread, butter and jam, while Benchmarker had just an americano,
although the cakes were tempting.

This
one is on the north side of Marino Avenue West - near its junction
with Killiney Hill Road in Killiney, County Dublin - and adjacent
to the home of a man with a large collection of ancient stone water
troughs, and the proud owner of a rare classic sports car, both of
which he graciously showed to M.C. and Benchmarker.
